Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Fun. Music is fun. Learning music should be fun. My style of teaching is to take what I find fun about playing music and introduce it to my students in gradual easy to understand steps. I do my best at teaching my students to read, write and create music. I also include many fun exercises to achieve finger dexterity. For me it is really important to establish a personal relationship with the student and always evaluate how they feel about their progress on a weekly basis. I always emphasis that a student know what style or genre of music they are interested in because they are more likely to stick to something that they have a natural passion for. Every lesson officially starts with a scale warm up to get the blood flowing to the players fingers and from there we go to either some sight reading pieces from the Hal Leonard books, chord changing or soloing exercises, and then lastly go to practicing a specific song of either mine or the students choosing.
