I graduated high school and then headed to California to attend the Los Angeles Music Academy for the Drum Program where I graduated and earned my Degree in Music in 2003. I started playing piano at 9 years old and took private lessons from Andy Calabrese for 3 years. Emily Retsas is a musician who currently based in Los Angeles. Since 2018 Emily has been playing bass for Phoebe Bridgers as well as having played for artists such as Kim Gordon, Boygenius, Better Oblivion Community Center, Shirley Manson(Garbage), Fiona Apple. Emily recorded bass on the four time Grammy nominated album Punisher by Phoebe Bridgers. Maya studied upright bass performance at Berklee College of Music, where she earned a Berklee Merit Scholarship and the Bass Department Outstanding Performer Award and Scholarship. She tours nationally with Boston-based bummer pop band Future Teens.
