I am a new and passionate instructor who would like to share my musical knowledge with prospective students! I've been performing since I was 6 years old and have been playing the guitar for 4 years. In that time I have acquired a lot of skills and learned things that I wish I had been taught at the beginning. I am studying to be a music producer and composer at Full Sail University and will be graduating this summer. Read More

My teaching style is generally laid back. I believe that a student will only work as hard as they want to, and I have little control over that. I focus more on finding out what will make the student want to work hard, rather than forcing them to study something that does not interest them. It's all about getting the student to have a positive musical experience. That being said, I do my best to hold my students accountable, but try to do so in an encouraging way vs. a nagging and controlling way. Read More

I believe in getting the student interested in the concepts and styles themselves, i like to introduce them to different ways of playing and my main method is to show them how it can be exciting to play/learn. For eg, for someone who loves games, I would show them how to play chords and melody ( on a piano ) at the same time by using the Minecraft theme song as an example, or any game that they might know and enjoy so it gets them interested to want to play and learn, through that i will show them dfferent techniques and concepts, this way they are already enjoying what they are learning and at no point will not want to practice it on their own. Professional but fun. First we review the last couple of lessons, and then we do new- building upon what we have done earlier. Each student is unique, and I teach to them individually. I call it my Individual Music Program! I really get a kick out of seeing my students learn and progress along the musical staff, as the month go on., Often times I will get a brother and sister for lessons teaching them to play music together and become comfortable performing for family members and the public. And since becoming a teacher myself, I’ve taken what I’ve learned and used it to help my own students become they players they’ve always wanted to be. Even though I’m still a gigging and session bass player—primarily in jazz—I’ve taught and worked in nearly every genre imaginable. Through the years, played everything from jazz, funk/fusion and blues to rock and hip hop. Read More
