My love for music started when I was 13 and I started playing drums. I soon got in a band and was enlisted by default as the bass player. I fell in love with the instrument and dedicated my life to becoming a professional musician. When I was 18 I moved to Boston to pursue a degree at Berklee College of Music where I graduated in 2017. Throughout the years I have had extensive performing and recording experience, having toured all over the US and Italy and recorded a few albums along the way. Read More

Applied behavior analysis is key to teaching complex tasks and acquiring fine motor skills to perform the student’s intentions. Reward systems are implemented with social reinforcement and earned graduation plans (free strings, picks, CD’s, books, etc.). I cater to the wishes and dreams of the student, while directing them to meet the requirements to obtain those wishes and dreams. Nothing is forced, compliance is always granted and earned, determined work ethic is displayed throughout. Read More

As soon as I meet with a student or a group of students, I make sure they are welcomed by an energetic teacher before getting started on their lesson. I try to keep the student(s) engaged by showing them different ways and approaches to music from books and my own personal approaches to help them grow knowing their teacher is well experienced. Since their is a lot for a percussionist than just playing with sticks on a drum, there is no doubt that the endless possibilities in teaching students the various instruments will help keep them engaged as well being more excited about music. I have been teaching music for over 7 years. I started in high school offering private instruction to families in my neighborhood. I quickly became a main source of music education in my area, and developed methods that were highly effective with younger students. During my time at Berklee College of Music, i studied music pedagogy and started developing formal lesson plans, while taking on many students of different ages (6-60). Read More

I have an interactive yet focused style of teaching. I can(but don't recommend) to use the Suzuki method. I feel that all aspects related to the instruments weigh much importance in teaching the student. However, with the Suzuki method, the student's primary focus is to learn pieces rapidly and climb the level of difficulty as fast as possible. This prevents him/her to fully understand and analyze the piece and lesson and it can also turn the student away from pursuing the instrument further.  Read More

For the beginning students we start learning all the fundamentals and details of the bass ie; string names, notes on the fingerboard, right and left hand technique, and how to get the sounds you are striving for on the bass. For more intermediate to advanced students, we learn to apply all modes, scales, chords etc... in creating walking bass lines, funk and groove lines, and how to solo over chord changes. Read More

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
