My style involves exploring music together, understanding the thought process behind different pieces of music and applying concepts in fun innovative ways. For beginners, I start with the basics. I will show the student the anatomy of the guitar or bass and how to care for it. After that, I will begin to teach basic techniques. I will show how to pluck the strings and fret the notes. Once the student has a grasp of those concepts, I will teach them basic chords and scales. I started taking lessons at 5 years old. I took private lessons at Eastman school of music in Rochester, NY. I graduated high school and then headed to California to attend the Los Angeles Music Academy for the Drum Program where I graduated and earned my Degree in Music in 2003. I started playing piano at 9 years old and took private lessons from Andy Calabrese for 3 years.
