I am an accomplished film composer for Netflix, Vice, HBO and many films. I also make music for ads like Apple, lOreal, MasterCard and more! I focus on the students strengths and dont force them to learn classical compositions. Although theory and site reading are very important, my students are here to learn how to fall in love with music and their instruments. As a conservatory student myself, I am grateful for the teachers who pushed me to have fun, learn songs, and allowed me to explore my creativity; this is the type of environment I bring to my students. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, its important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress and this makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the students, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

Is always good for beginners to have a book that includes a basic outline of the guitar parts, string names, and general terminology. This includes but is not limited to Hal Leonard's Essential Elements or Guitar for Absolute Beginners by Daniel Emeri. After we passed the fundamentals, the class will be customized to each student's needs. Say for instance, if the student is interested in blues guitar playing, a big part of the lesson will involve transcribing some of the greatest blues players and we will focus on the bend and vibrato technique. My teaching method is different depending on the abilities of each student. For beginning students, I use the Haskell W. Harr Drum Method Books 1 2, Stick Control by George Lawrence Stone, and The All-American Drummer 150 Rudimental Swing solos by Charley Wilcoxin. Once I feel like a student is strong enough on the snare drum, I will then work with them on developing limb independence on the drum set. All of the snare drum method books that I use with my students will eventually be adapted for drum set. Read More

I have been teaching music for over 7 years. I started in high school offering private instruction to families in my neighborhood. I quickly became a main source of music education in my area, and developed methods that were highly effective with younger students. During my time at Berklee College of Music, i studied music pedagogy and started developing formal lesson plans, while taking on many students of different ages (6-60). Read More
