I meet you where you are at as a student and go from there. I like to teach methodically, building on new skills each lesson as building blocks towards bigger goals. I assign brief, targeted technical exercises as a venue to work on foundational technical skills, and incorporate these skills as much as possible into musical application. The ultimate goal is to play music and have fun, so technical practice will always be in service of playing the music you want to play. Read More

My journey into the intricate world of audio over the past five years has been deeply rooted in passion. Freelance roles in renowned recording studios such as CSR, FTM, and CU Denvers Core have allowed me to manifest this passion as a producer and technician. I've translated this fervor into being an Audio Engineer for an array of artists including The Pace Makers, Summer Bedhead, Keddjra, Sara Flows, Totem Pocket, Moon Maze, Katie Yeager, Nicki Walters, Diego Frenkel, Fede Flaviano, Mak Dooley, and Alison Tas. For all students I access what your musical background is and what may be lacking from your knowledge and playing. I also ask what your particular goals and things you would like to learn are. From there then we will start to tailor the lesson as both us see fit. In general I like a student to be able to play three simple melodies before moving on to chords, rhythms, and music theory. I like to work based on what each student needs. I encourage the student to take his or her own interests into account on a regular basis. I also use a basic foundation to determine what the student needs to attack first, such as technique, harmony, ear trinning and scales. Of course, finger, pick, and slap styles are included. All kind of styles & genres are welcome, from the more basic to the more complex genres. Read More
