For beginning students, I typically start with the foundational elements, focusing primarily on technique and simple application into song. I slowly introduce repertoire that is appropriate and can highlight their strengths. For more advanced singers, I continue to build upon the foundational elements and guide my instructions based upon the student's interest and goals. I say this because often times we make crazy sounds and do strange exercises in the learning process, but I promise it pays - plus, I'll do the "weird" with you! Regardless of what you need help with, we will build on where you're currently at and find specified ways to work on your needs. It's so important to remember that we only have a limited time together - so my goal is to give you the tools and get you feeling comfortable to follow through with the techniques to work on them in your own time (in between our lessons).
