We will find the areas that hold you back in your singing goals, and we will DEMOLISH them, and every vocal lesson will be recorded onto CD. Piano I am well versed in many of the Pop style Piano including Blues Piano, Funk, Singer-Songwriter, RB, country, as well as atmospheric or synth playing (EG, playing strings convincingly on a keyboard). I am a singer/songwriter/producer. I started teaching vocals due to the high amount of inquiries for lessons by my fans and their parents. I am proud to have lived in New York and to have supported myself solely with earnings from teaching live performances and private vocal instructions. I had an original band and I established my own record label. Currently I reside in Los Angeles, California where I slowed down on gigging and devoting myself to family. Read More

I use a developmentally appropriate approach for preschoolers based on the Music Together curriculum. For ages 6 to 8, I offer Musical Safari, an overview of many instruments with basis in theory, solfege and reading, helping children and parents make the right choice of instruments based on the student's interest. For adult voice I favor the clippinger method added to my choir master experience where besides the technique, I customize the songs you want to learn with personalized arrangements in your most comfortable key. I also led the weekly performance programs with up to 25 students, preparing them for seasonal shows at popular venues. I have extensive in-home and online teaching experience as well, which includes arranging optimal commute schedules and recitals at schools and theaters. So, whether the student is a kindergartner singing ABC by Jackson 5, a 14-year-old learning recording basics, a 19-year-old preparing for a national theatre competition, a 40-year-old learning melody writing, or a 70-year-old learning the keys to Tell Me Something Good by Rufus, I can creatively adapt to the student's unique learning style and background on many different instruments. My lessons are pretty straight forward. We begin with understanding body posture and alignment for singing. Once in good posture, I encourage breath flow while maintaining good alignment. A good exercise for breath control and release is taking a deep breath in 10 seconds, holding the expansion or suspension for 10 seconds and then releasing (NOT PUSHING) the breath in an s sound, all while maintaining a tall and expanded posture. Next, we move on to scales from the middle of the voice to the lowest notes to get the voice warmed up. Read More
