I've been teaching in the greater Los Angeles area for almost 20 years, teaching students from ages 4 - 92 (yes, really! 92!). UK native, Ella M. studied opera vocals as a soprano at Mannes the new school for music in New York City until 2019. After training at with a professor at Julliard, Ella moved back to the UK to continue her studies at Kings College London while also recording music professionally. She graduated with a bachelors in music performance and found success in releasing her original music. If the student is comfortable, we move on to the passaggio (where our voices crack). We will work slowly to ensure flexibility, healthy habits and good release. Exercising this part of our voice is the gateway to the famous high notes everyone wants to learn to sing. Students are also taught simple vocal exercises from basic fundamental books, as well as stretching and breathing exercises.I use a variety of music books,depending on the level of the student.
