In 2018, I graduated from Oklahoma City University with a double Bachelor of Music degree in Music Theatre and Vocal Performance. I headed up the gerontology arts division for Orange Coast College/Coastline College and taught music/acting at active senior sites for over 14 years. Many of my current students are retired seniors. Some weeks a piano student might complete the material rapidly and some weeks, they may want to go slower, taking their time, therefore they excel at their own comfort level and don't feel as though there is a race.
