To be honest, I didn't become serious about teaching in the arts until I went to graduate school from 2019 - 2022. There, I co-taught a class in the winter 2022 to undergraduates and realized I enjoyed teaching a variety of artists and helping them to feel more open in sharing their art and artistic practices. Furthermore, I update and change my methods if I feel the current method is becoming ineffective. No two students are the same and I make sure to cater to each individual student's needs and pacing. I reward students with stickers and high-fives when I see that they are taking corrections and improving.
