We begin with gradual warm-ups then move onto the student's chosen selection, working on melody and rhythm before learning text and interpreting the arc of the song. Whether it's an uptempo musical theater ballad, a Mozart aria, jazz or pop selection, we end with working on capturing the artistry and vocal style of a chosen piece. Come in and work on improving your singing or prepare for your next studio recording, audition, performance, or karaoke gig with friends! Read More

I tend to develop my own methods as we progress, encouraging introspection by the student and developing a sense of musical independence. Success is subjective; enjoying one's journey is not. If a student is not enjoying the process then what's the use? Read More

I am a very relaxed teacher - I know that we do our best musical work when we are free from the constraints of judgment. So, I work very hard to create an environment of free artistic expression for my students, where they can feel at liberty to take chances in their music and know that I will be there to encourage them and help them find their way to what it is they aim to achieve musically.
