I don't have much paid experience in teaching, however I've been helping my peers and family learn guitar since I was only 2 years into playing. Once I picked up guitar at 11 I rarely put it down, and there wasn't a longer window of a couple weeks where I wouldn't pick it up. (Even to this day). In middle school I took beginning guitar as an elective, thinking it'd be a fun easy A. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I started teaching in 2018, soon after moving to LA a few weeks after I graduated from Berklee College Of Music. I started out teaching at music schools, and would often have up to 30 students in a week. I would have weekly lessons with my students, prepare them for their annual recitals, and communicate with parents after their child's progress. More recently I have been teaching in-person lessons at my student's houses, as well as doing virtual lessons, which has been a incredibly rewarding experience. Read More

I mostly do paperless. Less money involved, less waste of papers. I use a lot of videos and recordings. The principal instrument that needs to be trained is the hears. Brain and fingers immediately after. When a method is necessary, based on level of the student and topics studied, I recommend Creative Guitar by Guthrie Govan 1 and 2; Advancing Guitarist by Mick Goodrick and The Lesson by Victor Wooten. This last one is not properly a method, but an incredible book about music and musicians, that teaches more than the big majority of methods out there Read More

My teaching experience started while finishing my second program in college in 2016. With a career planned, I was ready to start sharing the ways of the fretboard to my students. With that, comes something thats most important, dedication. With dedication, you start a practice strategy, whether you want to memorize all the 12 major scales in all five CAGED patterns, or learn Hendrix's "Purple Haze" there must be dedication. Setting goals is very important to learning music, or your instrument, achieving is when you've finally reached what you've strived for, and challenge is when you take your goal and add some "spice" to it, whether it's playing faster, or learning the modes of the major scale. As a Music Educator, I know that music makes a huge impact on people’s lives. It goes beyond learning and playing an instrument or singing. It has also to do with self-confidence, self-esteem, improving social and motor skills and bringing people together. Music is a unique form of expression and allows people to be creative and show the world what is their perspective of life. I am a very easy going guy, very patient with the students and I always become good friends with them. Read More
