I employ a very eclectic, rotating repetoire. For beginning violin students, I use the Suzuki method of ear-training, however I am not married to that curriculum. I prefer to use beginning Suzuki materials in tandem with standard American folk and pop music, in accordance to the student's interests. I am qualified to teach all the way through Suzuki book 10 if the student prefers a more classical approach. Ear training is fundamental in my approach to all instruments and styles. Read More

Eventually, students from the group classes started to seek me out for individual lessons and I was also invited to be the lead vocal coach for a singing competition called ETTV Top Stars held by ETTV America in 2017 as well as 2019. I love teaching students what THEY want to learn, and applying my knowledge of music theory and instrument theory in a fun and applicable way to their interests, thereby making music theory less of a snore and chore, while also getting the students excited for more. I love highlighting students excellence and seeing the joy of finally nailing something they've practiced, but even more so I love working through aspects that are particularly challenging for a student, as the reward is even greater after doing so.
