My musicial experience started at the age of 7. This was the beginning of my formal classical piano training. In high school I stated learning more about the fundamental concepts of Jazz. While attending Cal State for three years I quickly developed and focused on arrangment and composition for all types of music. I have over 15 years experience teaching private lessons at students home as well as at my studio. I truly believe in all my students and try my hardest to encourage, promote, and evaluate weekly progress. At the end of the day each student can say I did my best because I practiced and accomplished my goal for set for me this week while having fun learning. Read More

I like to approach vocal lessons from a technical and holistic standpoint. A typical lesson for me usually begins with whatever warm-ups and exercises I feel fit our goals, and a check in to see how you're doing and if there is anything in particular you want to focus on improving. I have a lot of really effective exercises that'll get your voice where you need it to go! I work a lot with placement and support in my singing lessons, and I use a lot of visualization techniques to get you in the right placement. Read More

I developed a system of designing courses based on the individual music profile of the student. I assess the students capacities in different areas, I design the course based on this assessment and the goals the student wants to reach. Typically each student receives training on three main areas: Technique, Ear Training and Music Theory. In each area I use ton of resources to have students learn ,absorb and apply key concepts about rhythm, melody, harmony, tone color and form. Read More

If the student is comfortable, we move on to the passaggio (where our voices crack). We will work slowly to ensure flexibility, healthy habits and good release. Exercising this part of our voice is the gateway to the famous high notes everyone wants to learn to sing. The second half of the lesson consists of singing songs which the student may choose and some that I may recommend in order to work on specific development of the voice. Read More

Have fun. Love what you do. If it stops being fun push a little further ahead and see what happens. All it takes is a little ember to start a fire and I am ready to help my students find that fire within themselves. Its not always going to be easy and they will fall and stumble and when that does happen (and it will) I will be there to show them how to pick themselves up. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, its important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress and this makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the students, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I strive to create a safe space for my students where they can dive into their material and feel empowered through learning and practicing. Some weeks a piano student might complete the material rapidly and some weeks, they may want to go slower, taking their time, therefore they excel at their own comfort level and don't feel as though there is a race. With voice, I prefer to let the student pick songs that they enjoy singing and speak to their own heart. Read More
