Honorably, I attend school pursuing a Fine Arts degree in Classical Music (Cello); I began the Cello in Bridgewater's public school system. My method involves a two part approach - one is to teach proficiency with basics (reading and playing music). The other is to learn what music is, and how to keep yourself interested, progressing and that is by creating, modifying, improvising and composing. I like to set realistic goals for students to achieve. The most important thing is that they develop a love and passion for the language of music and learn to communicate through it! This takes a lot of time and can be frustrating at first so I often have students focus more on completing tasks than on how long they're playing every day. I was born in Newark New Jersey in 1948 and began a life long love affair with the Trumpet at the age of three and a half years old. By the age of twelve I was performing in local clubs and was exposed early on to Newark Jazz greats such as Sarah Vaughn, Wayne Shorter, Woody Shaw and Larry Young. I started playing guitar when I was 7, and music has been a huge part of my life ever since. I've performed countless shows in the New York/New Jersey area as well as many around Europe.
