Phase 2: Simple Riffs and Tablature This is where we get into "lead" guitar. Simply put, this is the "one note at a time, faster" section. We'll start here by learning some catchy riffs within the students ability and interest. Speed will certainly develop in this phase and the student will be a more well rounded player. My personal preference is not to adhere too strictly to any one method however, instead focusing on the application of theory within a more active musical context.
