The number one greatest thing about teaching is that no two students are ever the same. Each of my students comes to their lessons with a unique personality, and individual skills, and challenges, which made me realize that the best teacher is within the students themselves. I encourage my students to experience music, and develop their own understanding and taste before I step in to help them analyze the process. Read More

I started out as a percussionist, studying throughout high school and in to college at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. During my time in Boston, I discovered a bustling bluegrass music scene and my focus switched to stringed instruments, namely the mandolin and the violin. For the past decade, I dedicated myself to teaching at the Music Academy in Krakow, where I instructed over 200 students each year. I also believe that blending classical and contemporary music enhances students' enjoyment and motivation to practice and learn. Read More

When a student feels accomplished, they are more likely to practice and have the mindset of practicing to be more of a personal decision rather than a requirement. Read More

For all my students I like to balance between making our way through a method book and breaking down different songs and exercises. I recommend Hal Leonard's Essential Elements/Method books or Standard of Excellence books for my woodwind/guitar/ukulele students, Piano Adventures by Faber books for my piano students, and Breaking It Down or Alfred's Beginning Drumset Method for my drum students. Once the student has gained an understanding of basic sight-reading, then we can move on to more advanced books that can be focused on a theme or other advanced methods. Read More
