For older children and adults, I simply ask about their prior musical knowledge and the music that they enjoy so we could use that as inspiration. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals I will begin to introduce technical repertoire. I like to keep things simple. I focus on breathing and diction exercises and I like to discuss with my students about their performance. My style is very friendly and open and I will push my students to succeed. Singing comes down to muscle memory and each session with me is a mix of working out the mind and vocal muscles.
