I started teaching private lessons in high school. I taught guitar, bass, piano, voice, and songwriting lessons at Biryukov Academy of Arts and Music for 5 years for both kids and adult beginners. I have performed, written and music directed a children's theatre tour where I taught children to sing, act, and perform in front of large crowds. Along with being a freelance drummer, I started teaching private drum lessons at an after school program at the Trinity School in NYC from 2010 until 2017. Later on that year I started teaching at another after school program at the Village School in NYC until 2018. I was a student of Laurie Frink, who is widely regarded as the greatest trumpet/brass teacher to ever live. I use alot of her methods to teach students who are intermediate/advanced level. This includes her book, "flexus", along with a number of exercises tailored to the student. Laurie always found a way to teach every student differently, based on their weaknesses and strengths.
