I during these placements in the public school I wrote out lessons plans and taught music theory and instruments to the students. Read More

I approach students with some humor and wit to open up their mind to me. I always try to make my students feel comfortable with me and bond with me which I think it is very important in teaching. I encourage to set realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Setting goals for every lesson will help them to feel achievement that would give them a motivation to be passionate with violin. For beginning students, I typically start with teaching the parts of the guitar and the string names. I then progress to the notes on each string and introduce some basic exercises for hand coordination. We can then progress through scales and chords and touching on some music theory. For more experienced players, learning songs and different techiques is beneficial. Always with an eye towards advancing some theory and introducing students to new ideas. Read More

I believe that the student is always important. They are the ones that come to me to learn and in exchange, i learn from them. I play many different styles of percussion, therefore when I first meet I introduce myself and tell the about me and what I do. And I ask them what their experiences are, what they want to learn and what got the them interested in playing drums and\or percussion. Read More

I love passing on the gift of music to others and am excited to share your musical journey with you! I started my journey at age 7, where I started playing piano and then violin at age 9. It taught me music theory and music basics. When I was 9, I got involved in my elementary school choir and haven't stopped singing since! I got involved in middle school in my community theaters performance program, doing sometimes 4-6 shows a year. Read More
Instruments: Piano Organ Keyboard
I have almost every beginner piano method book available. I do not go by just one piano method book page by page. I find this method very boring for the student. What I do is make a copy of each song or exercise from different books that I have that I think is better for the individual student. Each student is so different and after I get to know them I will know how to teach them so they will have fun and enjoy learning music. Read More
