I have been a private piano teacher for over 15 years and playing piano for many years. After working in advertising for 20 years, I was a stay at home mom and returned to my love of of music and playing the piano. Since I had degrees in Music and Music Therapy and loved playing the piano it was a given that I would be a piano teacher. I'm now a Piano teacher and I do Pre-School music at local Pre-Schools. I love playing the piano and always hope that this will be passed along to my students. I truly believe that ENJOYING playing the piano is most important.
My teaching has been a very gratifying experience for me. After my career in Advertising, I returned to music and playing piano ( as well as being a Pre-School Music teacher). I have been teaching for over 15 years and you might say I am a “ Seasoned Pro “. My students are of all ages and abilities. I love when a student requests a particular piece to play or tells me of playing piano for friends and family. As long as the student is enjoying playing, practices and feels good about themselves, I have done my job
For beginning students, I start with Michael Aaron and Michael Aaron Music Theory books. The beginner students really enjoy these theory books! I also incorporate Fabers Music Adventures into the lessons. As the student progresses, I begin to introduce pieces appropriate for their levels and tastes. Each student learns and progresses individually and I take that into account when suggesting repertoire for them. One student may want a classical piece while another student may want a song by Bruno Mars.
Nothing is more exciting than seeing one of students enjoying playing the piano, I try to determine what inspires each students and set realistic goals for them. To some students , I encourage them to practice only a few measures, while another student may complete the entire piece. Each student learns and progresses individually, I try to find out what inspires the student, and gear my instruction to their wants and needs. My main goal as a teacher is for the student to ENJOY playing the piano.

Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.
OkAre you sure that's your only availability? The more availability you easier it will be to arrange a teacher for you.
