As the music director of Smooth Progressions A Cappella, I worked with college students of various skill levels to produce an EP and an album. It is a basic book with specific essential elements for reading and understanding music. As the student progresses I use to introduce songs for their repertoire applying what they leaned in the book. I have been teaching for 5 years to a wide range of ages. I like to make my lessons fun but also encourage hard work! I take an individualistic approach to teaching, tailoring my lessons to my students. I teach violin for all levels and beginner/intermediate piano. I encourage all my students to learn how to read music and have a basic understanding of theory. The goal may be a recital or a small performance for close friends or a relative. It may also be the desire to learn a program of pieces by a stated time, or the desire to reach a particular level of proficiency.
