I majored in musical theater in college at SUNY Fredonia, where I studied voice extensively. I also love singing country, jazz and everything in between. I started my teaching journey in college, teaching children at my community theater camp for the summers. I’ve had the opportunity to perform in NYC in off-Broadway as well as with choirs, performing at Lincoln Center and The Kennedy Center. I will vary my methods based on the individual student. For students between 3 and 7, I will use the Suzuki method, which in my experience is best for students of that age. For beginners after that, I will use method books and repertoire that not only addresses the students technical and musical development at that point in time, but is also fun and enjoyable to play.
