I Love teaching with a passion. Playing music and teaching is a reflection of who I am as an individual. I Love it when students want to learn everything there is to know about music. Music builds trust because once you master your craft you can trust your fingers to hit the right notes. Music also builds confidence and communication skills. I Love solving problems so whenever I start learning a new song its like trying to solve a problem or figuring out a puzzle piece. Read More

My teaching style consists of helping students view the reward found in developing the musical talents and gifts some of us possess. I like to keep the mood lighthearted and fun while I am teaching, so that all students will feel comfortable and play to the best of their abilities. I do, however, believe in the importance of consistent and concentrated practice, and I will always tell a student if I feel that they are not putting enough work into their instrument. Because I know that people have busy schedules, I strive to teach students how to practice efficiently so that they can improve their playing even if they have limited time in the day in which to practice. I believe that the best way to learn music is to find ways to make practicing an instrument a fun and enjoyable endeavor. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 10 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 2 years. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students enjoy the piano and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. Read More

I'm a driven and patient teacher with a deep desire to learn and to share knowledge. I've been performing on piano/guitar/saxophone/voice from a very early age and have continued to refine my craft. I've performed in numerous musicals throughout K12 eventually leading to my time at UGA where I received my Bachelors in Music. I've performed with numerous choirs including the Hodgson Singers and I've had the pleasure of performing with the Redcoat Marching Band. Read More
