I started playing the cello in 5th grade after attending a Middle School showcase where they showed off all their clubs to rising 6th grade students. I ran away from my mother after seeing the Cellist play and went to talk to him. She found me an hour later in the Orchestra room playing with the instrument. I began teaching in my sophomore year of college at the age of 19. I started by giving thirty minute to one hour lessons to local students. I soon began leading masterclasses for the flute students of the local middle and high schools. Most recently, I taught a masterclass to a large group (30-40) of high school flute students.
