She says “singing is just a part of who I am."  TashaRenee is a great eclectic vocalist that has been singing all of her life.  Although she has gospel roots, she decided to learn more about music as an undergraduate and graduate student in the Music-vocal performance degree programs.  She has been a part of several casts in Operas across the nation, with her professional Opera debut being the Strawberry Woman in Porgy and Bess in New Orleans, Louisiana. Once the fundamentals from those books have been understood, I will start the students on repertoire that is appropriate for their level. I generally start off my beginners with A.C. Peterson's Rubank Elementary Method or Bruce Pearson's Standard of Excellence. After they develop the basic skills, I will move the student onto Robert Cavally's Melodious and Progressive Studies etude book. From there, I may introduce solo repertoire into the curriculum.
