My teaching style consist of setting realistic goals and encouraging students to push past what they think their limitations are. Getting my students to understand that this journey is a marathon and not a race is important so that they can understand how they should pace themselves as they progress. Offering my students a chance of performing in front of an audience through recitals, gives them motivation to continue to strive to be a better player and allows them to see the fruits of their labor. Teaching is essentially for the student to learn the material, but at the same time the student is teaching me patience and joy. I base my teaching method on my strong enthusiastic, optimistic, patient, and loving character. I make sure the student feels comfortable and take any amount of time until they thoroughly understand the subject of choice. Read More

My teaching style is for my students to succeed. Since I have an Administrators degree and have concentrated on many Healthcare/Science classes regarding disabilities, I can tailor my lessons to students who may be dyslexic or have ADHD. Some students are visual learners, where others respond more to sound. I also encourage students to develop their ears as this enables them early on to be able to recognize notes and to play without music. Read More
