With beginners, I always explore the very basics with them. This means we work on breathing and embrochure formation together. Along with this, we also learn the basics of reading music. From there on out, I use Breeze Easy Trumpet Method, Arban, Clarke, Irons, Bai Lin, Caruso, and Stamp to develop fundamental technique, based on what I think each student needs. My style of teaching revolves around a solid foundation in technique and proper ways to practice. This is the hardest part about having music lessons, because its all about muscle memory. I advise learning the basics before jumping straight into learning pieces. It's very important to play the right way, and more importantly, practice the right way.
