Often this means scales, chords, arpeggios, music literacy, performance practice and listening skills. To accomplish this, I use standard materials that are often available online and are used by college and University music programs around the world. I like to give my students a variety of excercises or pieces to work on to ensure that they don't get bored or burnt out practicing the same thing. I am very laid back and easy to get along with, and I feel that above all else music should be exciting and fun for the student, whether it be performing in recitals or shows or simply for one's own enjoyment.
