My teaching experience began in college when I start teaching my first voice students in 2017. I have taught voice lessons to beginners who need help matching pitch. I have taught voice lessons to college students with varying performance backgrounds! I constantly strive to provide my students with a safe space so that learning can be as easy and fun as possible. I also discuss the importance of eating the right healthy foods to maintain a healthy voice and lifestyle. I often invite the students to my events to encourage them to continue to be disciplined and learn all they can while they're young. Demos and I also hold a Diploma in Composition and a Diploma in Byzantine Music (Eastern Orthodox Chant). Since then I have taught private lessons in homes, studios, private schools, and after graduating from Michigan State University- I taught public school orchestra, band, and choir from Prek-12 in Michigan and then Georgia. I like to let each student to progress at their own pace. Patience is the key here when learning to play a new music instrument. I am very flexible and layback. I am excited to begin teaching music. Along with my experience as a classroom teacher, I have also tutored English to ESOL students. As a tutor, I assigned homework regularly and kept students accountable by checking for completion and accuracy. When it comes to learning how to play an instrument, the importance of practicing regularly on one's own cannot be emphasized enough. For my younger students, I will be using accountability notebooks for students to keep a record of when and how long they practiced. Read More
