As a result, progress is quicker and my students retain what they have learned. For beginning students who are children, I use the Rubank Method for Flute as well as Pares Scales. Once they have become more advanced I assign more challenging etude and scale books. When the student has a grasp of the instrument,I present solo repertoire and orchestral excerpts tailored for each level. I started teaching guitar lessons privately when I was 16 years old and, since I tested out of my first year of Music College in Argentina, I was able to receive my first music degree at age 19. Shortly thereafter, I started teaching elementary school music and symphonic band at a private school until I was offered a scholarship to be an exchange student in the U.S., and then offered two scholarships (Tiger Scholar and LMA) to transfer to LSU (Geaux Tigers!) to finish my studies there.
