My cello instruction is separated by levels and books. Level 0-1 is in Hal Leonard's Essential Elements books 1 and 2. Level 1-2 is Rick Mooney's Position Pieces Book 1, as well as sheet music and books outside of that method book. Level 2-3 is Rick Mooney's Position Pieces Book 2 and sheet music, and 3+ will be Rick Mooney's Thumb Position books. I started playing the Violin in 2004, Viola in 2009 and Piano in 2011. I graduated with a Bachelor in Music Performance specializing in Violin in 2015 from Barry University in Miami Shores. Teaching for 12 years and playing for 18 years has really inspired me to cater to every age, and the student’s personal goals and their particular culture as there are no limitations to my style. I have experience creating music programs for church ministries, learning centers, music academies and more. Learning that each student has their own pace at learning an instrument is also very important on both sides tof the teacher and student, so using whatever to help a student grasp how to play is key. I urge my students to practice regularly on a consistent schedule; improvement is dependent on this, but I also encourage them to explore.
