I've worked with kids ranging from 6 months to 17, and also have worked with adults, and people with disabilities. I continued to teach, and work with kids for several years following. I started lessons in Oakland, CA in dance, music and acrobats with Peggy and Leon Valdez and then tap performance and theater arts with Chorlene and Art Duane in Hayward, CA. I became very active in elementary school choirs with music instructor, Ms. Bell. I enjoy all types of music and encourage my students to pursuit their interests as I find it motivating for them when facing new musical challenges. I was trained classically in violin in the Suzuki method, took rock/folk-based instruction in guitar, and learned brass and percussion through my high school marching band, which also doubled as a concert ensemble for half of the school year.
