For brass instrumental students, I generally use the Rubank Method books, focusing on care of the instrument and basic fundamentals. For piano students I use a variety of different method books and am not tied down to any one series. We will also work on scales and the Hannon series For vocal students, I use a series of vocalises, scales and other exercises to strengthen the voice. We will then work on repetroire focusing on what the student would sing at a recital performance. Read More

My teaching experience dates back to the early 1990's when I taught as an Adjunct Voice Instructor at Frank Phillips College in Borger, TX. I found this to be a fulfilling and rewarding experience as I taught freshman and sophomore voice students the fundamentals of proper vocal production through the learning of appropriate repertoire.
