I have designed curriculums that work in phases according to the skill level of the student. In the beginning stages the curriculum is designed primarily based around the music theory required for playing the instrument at a high level. The lessons bounce back and forth between theory introduction and theory application. This continues throughout the beginning lessons, going from method to method accordingly. In the later stages I teach the student techniques and methods to improve form, speed, and overall functionality. Read More

I am a music-loving teacher and eager to share and enjoy with my students the marvelous experience of making music as a way of personal growth and development. Since I was 13 I started singing and playing guitar. At 16 I started doing it professionally and managed to take my art to a large part of my country (Venezuela) and several Latin American countries. I have great experience in the area of popular music, live singing, recording in a studio and breathing techniques and antistress that I can share with my students to facilitate the easiest and fun way to make music. I am a serious, nerdy musician who loves to learn something new every day and then pass that knowledge along through teaching others. After several stints at several colleges for both Music Performance and Audio Engineering I am thoroughly enjoying a performing career focusing on drumset, piano and voice. I can often be found playing music and singing at many establishments in the Houston/Austin/San Antonio area. Also I spend a great deal of time in studios writing, recording and producing songs for myself, my band and others. Read More

I always give positive feedback on any execution before talking about things we can improve on. I do this to let them know that they are doing well, but we can always strive to get better. I always ask "how does that feel" and "do you understand"? I do this because singing should never hurt. If it hurts then its wrong and we need to correct it. I ask the second question, again, to make sure there are no communication barriers and to make sure I am explaining things in a way that they understand. Read More
