When I teach, I dont force a certain technique or method on students, but rather I teach what is best suited for them. On top of that, I always motivate my students with adequate goals. There are many books on drums and piano or voice. I have to get to know the student to determine what I will use to get better results. It will depend on their age and attitude and initial talent. Also, a lot of kids are busy at school and don't have much time for practice.
