I have always believed that music is a conversation between the musician and the audience, and the instrument is the interpreter. With this in mind, with any age, I start with a regular conversation. Knowing the passion, interest level, and motivation of the students helps me create a method of teaching that is specific to the individual. I also learn their experience and knowledge level. Through out high school I have coached and taught at various churches by strengthening their worship teams as well as several middle school singers at my home studio that were preparing for their Region auditions along with their solo and ensemble competitions. After determining what motivates the student to learn an instrument and also knowing their profile and their relationship with music prior to this, I develop a daily, weekly and monthly plan with the same student, I establish the level of commitment that the student Is going to put in the training and project, along with him, some goal or objective attainable according to his commitment. I'm based in Houston and have performed in opera and with various musical theater companies in the Houston area. I was born in Cuba and began my musical studies at the age of 7 in vocational schools of music. I studied for 15 years in the specialties of piano, voice and music theory. For many years, I dedicated myself to singing and playing piano in various musical groups in Cuba, while studying piano and voice at the University and taking my degree in Musicology.
