Aside from finding a student's learning style, my teaching method centers around creating goals that break down barriers. Most barriers are something other than a student's ability to learn. Music is a hard-learned skill, and it's all too often that many students face the hard reality of not becoming the next legend as soon as they pick up their first instrument.
