I am a graduate of Texas Tech University. I began teaching privately in 1985 on the Lubbock ISD Music Tutorial Program. I went into the schools and taught students privately during class hours. I taught Tuba and Baritone Horn. In 1989 I began teaching with Lubbock Parks and Recreation in the community centers. This was more generalized. I taught Band Instruments, Voice, Guitar, Music Theory, Beginner Piano, Beginner Strings. What I consider to be my crown achievement is hearing from parents who told me that the overall academic performance of their children had improved since they began taking lessons from me. Read More

For bass guitar I use the Mel Bay Bass Guitar Method which takes a student from creating rocking bass lines to building kicking bass licks from chord changes.Double Bass students will have classical training, techniques to build a solid, warm tone, use of the bow, and orchestral repertoire, including solo pieces. I Started with music 17 years now . I began age 10 with cello. 2 years later started the guitar. Picked up along the way electric bass, upright bass, ukulele , mandolin , banjo, basic piano and learning accordion. All middle and high school was in the orchestra. Graduated 2009, then attended Lone-star for 2 years taking music classes. I was in a band for about 3 years. We did some events, but then I decide to leave.
