Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. My teaching experience dates back about 20 years. Since then, I’ve taught many levels and many instruments. I’ve taught students ranging from 18 months to 81 years old. I’ve taught many styles;including jazz, pop, and rock. I’ve had students to make videos and win several competitions. My favorite genre to teach is classical. I am a passionate and dedicated musician with a broad range of experiences both in education and performance. As a solo artist, I have toured the United States extensively, and have performed at festivals in the Caribbean and Denmark. Having performed and taught music in so many styles, I feel I can bring a lot of perspective to each lesson. I teach to the student's wants, desires, abilities, time and goals. I understand that some people want to just download chords of their favorite classic rock songs from the internet, and play them as quickly as possible, without learning to read and write music. Another student is interested in studying music theory, classical music's greatest hits, and how to read and write music. For students who are just beginning to learn guitar, aside from teaching said students how to properly hold the guitar, I provide fun single note exercises from open and first position to help them get comfortable with the top of the neck.
