I've been teaching music for more than 12 years now. I can honestly say that I enjoy teaching and sharing my knowledge of music. I typically use the Faber Books for piano, Hal Leonard for guitar and ukulele, and I work in sight-reading with my voice students. I also work in music theory when appropriate, and enjoy explaining the "why" behind how music works. I'm also a singer-songwriter and have tunes on Spotify Apple Music. My teaching experience spans 6 years. I've taught all ages, so I'm comfortable with everybodys learning pace. In college I studied under the Latin Grammy award winning La Catrina Quartet, and I hope to pass down the knowledge I gain from that experience to my students. Teaching guitar and bass began for me around the same time I stared gigging seriously. People who were at the show or even people in other bands would come up and ask if I gave lessons. I developed a lesson plan and began teaching. I have taught both beginners and advanced players but most of my students have been just starting out. I began teaching while I was still a student at the Conservatory of Music in the 1990's I was Voice Teacher at the Intermezzo Music School in Guaynabo, PR. I taught all ages from 7 - 69. I stayed there for 7 years. I also gave private singing lessons to students at my own home in Carolina, PR.
