I teach all styles, rock,blues,jazz,classical,funk,r and b,country and have taught all age groups from beginners to advanced. My teaching style stems from my philosophy that music is a language. So my approach is focused on using the skills and knowledge while "speaking", or playing, with other musicians. That is why my approach is focused on jamming. After the student can understand how to make the instrument sound, I immediately give them the oppertunity to put their skills into practice. I have a lifelong passion for music, with my passion being in drumming and percussion but having a great deal of experience in trombone and a strong knowledge of guitar as well.  I graduated from Wesleyan University in 2008 with Honors in Music.  I have just recently traveled to Ghana for a 10-month trip to study traditional drumming, Afrobeat drum set style, and more.
