During my college years, I was a scholarship singer at First Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Sam Houston State University Chorale. Past experiences include singing with the UTB/TSC Master chorale, with which he performed at the Texas Music Educators Association. I have been teaching private voice since 1991.  Along with teaching privately out of my home, over the years I have served on faculty as an adjunct voice professor at the college and university level, and have taught private voice in school districts for their junior high and high school choirs.  My own children study with me and are performing regularly in musical theater productions and choirs.  I love helping singers discover their beautiful, God-given singing voice and watching it blossom as they consistently practice and apply the techniques. After completing my BA in public relations I was awarded a teaching assistantship at the University of Arkansas to teach the basic speech requirement. I became pregnant and did not complete my MA but began teaching private piano lessons part time while raising my children. As the needs of my family changed I began working with children in other ways such as coaching ball teams.
