I try to get to know the students as best as I can. I will ask them about their interests in music and outside of music. I also will learn what their weaknesses and strengths are and push them to improve all around. I have a pretty laid back style of teaching. My goal to encourage them, rather than make them feel bad or frustrated. I will simply tell them if they are sounding good, or I will tell them what they can do to sound better. Read More

Rewind to the year 1996. I was in a local music store looking at the bulletin board looking for a band/bandmates. One index card caught my attention in particular: "Looking for someone to teach my 15 year old son guitar, can pay $20.00 an hour." I took the card and raced home and called her.
