Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

I use Berklee, Van Eps, custom-written material, and I also teach composition, theory, film scoring. My teaching approach: I possess a thorough knowledge of the instrument. Focus on proper technique for all students, regardless of his/her playing ability. Once proper technique is established, I utilize the Berklee Series as a basis for instruction. For beginning students who have no experience on their instrument, I usually spend a fair chunk of time working on basic technique using books like the Essential Elements series or Greg Horne's similar books for folk instruments. I usually combine the book material with other songs/pieces relevant to each student's interests. For more advanced students, I usually find a mix of repetoire relevant to their interests and technical exercises for them to refine and develop technique. Read More

I'm a passionate music teacher who loves working with students of all levels and sharing my love of music. My studio has the latest technology to reinforce skills and knowledge that are being taught and learned. For my youngest students I use Music for Little Mozarts. I have developed a curriculum supplementing this particular series - rhythm is experienced with percussion instruments, boom whackers, and lots of fun music games "off the bench". Time is spent both "on the bench" (playing on the keyboard), and "off the bench". For students 6 years old and above I use the Faber & Faber method, although If that particular method doesn't "click" with a student, then I certainly have others I use. Read More
