My teaching style is overall fairly laid back. I let my students set the pace, but I also expect them to be passionate, curious, and hard-working. I love to encourage students as they explore different areas of their playing, and try different ideas. I push my students just out of their comfort zone, and force them to take risks. Most of my education and experience working with students comes from a background of counseling and social sciences. I try to approach teaching music and guitar in a similar way to how I would approach any other kind of teaching, and attribute my unique background and skillset to make my lessons effective for a diverse range of students.
