When I begin with a new student, I generally jam and analyze my student's abilities, skill level, techniques and interests/desires in music styles. When I have a good idea about my student's ability and skill level, we begin with focusing on what needs to be improved. For beginner children, I like to focus on the fundamentals and keep interest with keeping things creative, exciting and fun! For adults, I like to analyze my student's musical interests and try to associate lessons in that style of repertoire. Read More
