I love teaching students privately one on one. My youngest student was 4; a Piano student. She was from a Russian family and didn’t speak a word of English. Teaching her was a joint effort between myself and the girl’s mother who did speak English; a very interesting experience. My oldest student was 86; a Guitar student. He had studied previously with another instructor and loved to play. When I began music school I always played in special events. In the year 2002 I won a scholarship to study at the National School of Art in Havana. After several aptitude examinations I was finally elected, and that is one of the most beautiful memories I have of my time as a student. For the next 4 years, I took part in different competitions and music concerts with the Symphony Orchestra of Havana and I had the honor of playing with Leo Braower, Joaquin Clerch, and many special presentations as a student.
