I am filled with so much passion for music education, which has informed my occupation as a music instructor. My love for teaching, inspiring and impacting my music students is incurable. I am a performing musician and i have performed for various bands and music groups in different continents. I dont just teach my students, but i mentor them on their way up their music dream and passion. I have also been opportuned to teach national singing groups beyond the shores of the US. For me, music is the grease to life's rickety engine.
I have been a music instructor for 13 years now. I have taught different categories of students ranging from 2-65 years old. I started off as a classical teacher for a church choir, in which i taught for 7 years. My students find listening and playing their musical instrument very enjoyable, where personal practice becomes interesting and looked forward to. My students are driven by the joy of the learning process and this has been a reason they improved at a great pace! No one is too old or too young to learn music or play a music instrument.
For a first timer i typically would relate with the student so as to connect with the basis for their interest in learning the musical instrument. Different students have different levels of perception or assimilation. This i establish before i even start the introductory class proper. Then i go through the fundamentals with the student, and observe their progress along the way. My instruction is flexible even though its structured in a way that prompts the student for further and regular improvements.
Every student has the ability to learn and understand music at any level, as long as the teacher knows how to key-into that ability of that student, in order to teach the student. In other words, very person in the world has a motivating factor, or reason of interest, in whatever they do. The same applies to music knowledge acquisition. This, i take the advantage of, in order to bring the student to the point of learning where, motivation becomes personal as the student appreciates the learning process. Timely objective goals and skill level achievements is a major tool i use to this effect, as it keeps the student wanting more and getting the best of the class.
Select all the days/times the student would be available to start lessons. Selecting "3pm - 7pm" means the student can start as early as 3pm or start as late as 7pm. It is important that you select as many days and the widest window of start times for each day as possible. That will help us make a match with one of our teachers.Ok
